Prez Akufo-Addo’s ministerial list finally out


President Akufo-Addo’s nominees for Ministers and Regional Ministers-Designate.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has presented to the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin the full list of the 46 Ministers of State and Regional Ministers for approval by the Appointment Committee of the 8th Parliament.

Issued under his hand, the Acting Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin noted that an expedited approval by the House of Parliament his nominees for the various ministries to support the execution of his second term mandate.

The list presents a total of thirty (30) Ministers of States and sixteen (16) Region Ministers.

In the newly created Ministry for Public Enterprise, former Deputy Minister for Energy in charge of Finance and Infrastructure, Joseph Cudjoe has been appointed.

Second term Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, Ebenezer Kojo Kim has been appointed as the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region, has been appointed as the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation. He takes over from Prof. Frimpong Boateng.

Majority Leader of Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has been appointed as the Minister of State Parliamentary Affairs.

Several others in the President’s first term have been retained for the same office. They include the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanteng, Minister for Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, and among others.
